What is the EduTour Club?

This is a club for educators in high schools and colleges that offer tourism and hospitality subjects or courses in the FET band.  All teachers at a member school or college can enjoy the benefits of the club.

The membership is held by the school or college, with the teachers and lecturers being the direct contacts and beneficiaries of the club.  These benefits will help you directly in the classroom by:

• Adding to your professional knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry
• Keeping you updated on relevant industry events, trends and issues
• Supporting you with classroom activities, test and exam questions
• Providing you with access to other development opportunities
• Providing international perspectives and global opportunities to your learners

What are the benefits of the EduTour Club?

By joining the club, you will access the following benefits in support of your teaching:

• 6 newsletters per year:  content includes profiles of industry personalities, information on curriculum topics, information on industry trends and statistics relevant to the curriculum
• Opportunity to twin with a school in one of the following countries:  Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong, UK, Russia, Jamaica, Kenya, Hungary.
• Opportunity to access the Passport to the World international tourism curriculum activities and content
• Discounts on various products and services (such as training, webinars and e-books) from Kundiza as well as industry magazines, etc.
• Access to additional information for the annual GTTP research competition
• Resources and lesson plans
• Monthly resource sheets on relevant curriculum topics such as careers and case studies
• Access to an exam/test question and answer databank
• In addition to the main email contact, a member school or college can submit up to 4 additional email addresses of teachers wishing to receive our newsletters, updates and other communications

Membership duration and fee

The annual membership fee is R350 per year.  This is renewable every year on the same date as you originally joined the club.
