Teacher Training Workshops:
- TTP has trained more than 900 Tourism Teachers since its inception in 1996.
- We works in partnership with the Provincial Education Departments to organise and deliver these workshops.
- Business has also played a pivotal role by delivering guest lectures on a variety of topics at the workshops, distributing resources and inviting teachers into their businesses on site visits.
- Tourism teachers are trained on both subject specific knowledge as well as on the methodology needed to deliver tourism effectively in the classroom
NCV Training in Gauteng: September 2009
Kundiza Training and Consulting was contracted by Gauteng Department of Education to train FET Lecturer’s delivery both NCV Tourism and NCV Hospitality Studies. 120 lecturers attended this training at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways.
Delegates were exposed to a range of top level industry speakers throughout the week of training, including:

- Janet Landey: Director: Party Design
- Greg McManus: Managing Director: Heritage Environmental Management Company
- Vivienne Bervoets: Senior Accommodation Manager, MATCH
- Bashni Muthaya: Manager: Strategic Research, South African tourism
- Lee-Anne Bac: Director: Grant Thornton Strategic Solutions
In addition, the hospitality lecturers were treated to demonstrations on food trends and styles, a wine and a cocktail course by the Cape Wine Academy, as well as a trip to an abattoir. Delegates were given the opportunity to rotate through the F&B, Housekeeping and Conferencing departments of this large and busy conference hotel, and try their hand at operational skills.
